Our Mission:

The mission of the Pickaway County Literacy Council is to provide quality educational opportunities to adults for the improvement of basic skills and development of life-long learning and to encourage family and community involvement in education.

Our Services:

Tutors teach learners basic reading and math skills. In addition, they may provide instruction in the following areas:  spelling, writing, social studies, current events, science, computer literacy, critical thinking, job skills, and life skills. We can also help students study for the written portion of the driver’s test. The type of instruction is determined by the individual learner’s needs and interests.

Family literacy is offered at qualifying elementary schools in Pickaway County. Families receive free children’s books while attending. Parenting roles and literacy instruction are also part of this class. Call for information on days and times.
